Tom & Mei's Gorgeous Farm Wedding
If I’ve photographed your wedding, you already know how I work. I love to mingle with everyone, have a chat, blend in, dance badly and commando crawl through the bushes to get the perfect portrait. I don’t ever drink during a shoot (that = recipe for blurry, arty photographer), I barely sit especially during the ceremony or reception, and like a well versed stalker, you won’t always know I’m there, but I’ll always be watching. (Creepy, haha!)
On Saturday, I took off my photographers hat (mostly) and I became a guest. I still mingled and danced (a little extra) badly. There was no commando crawling (it wouldn’t have worked in a dress anyway), and I did sit often and happily drank alllll the champagne and wine. I also brought only one very tiny camera, the Fujifilm XT1 and one lens, the Fujinon 23mm 1.4. (More on that in a later blog post if you’re interested to know how it holds up at a wedding).
I became completely immersed in the day, and was so thankful to be able to celebrate with Tom and Mei as a guest. Tom is my partners little brother, along with his beautiful wife Mei, they are the most lovely and welcoming couple you could meet. They have such a fashionably classic style, and that showed in the gorgeous styling of their wedding. Their wedding (and of course their dapper selves) not only looked amazing, but were full of the most heart warming love and happiness. Family welcomed family and friends, and everyone had an amazing time. The food was so yum and the champagne and wine choices delicious!
I’ll share a few candid snaps from their day now. Congratulations guys, I hope you had the best day ever! xx
