JJ's Energetic Beach Adventure

Last year I had the honour to meet Minnie and her son JJ, and to share her amazing story of how she came to have her beautiful little boy after so many battles. It’s a real love story that touches your heart. (You can read it here.) We’ve been in touch since then planning another, slightly warmer shoot. Waiting and watching the weather for a clear sunny day that would really make the ocean that gorgeous bright blue colour you get on warm, sunny summer days. On Monday morning we got it! :)

JJ is such an inquisitive little boy, with bundles of energy and absolute joy. I’ve never seen anyone so excited about bubbles! (We all know kids love bubbles, but JJ LOVES bubbles). We played with his favourite ball and bubbles in the green park, ran through the sand (which JJ excitedly covered himself in), splashed in the ocean and had lots of cuddles! Finishing up at his favourite playground, every single one of us (even JJ) feeling contentedly sleepy from our energetic adventure. It’s always a pleasure capturing these candid family photos with a photo journalistic style. All the natural, chaotic energy of play and family life and love. xx
