Anni & Mark's Gorgeous Streaky Bay Wedding

What an amazing wedding this was. A wedding in stunning Streaky Bay full of beautiful details, wonderful people and fun! If you’ve never been to Streaky Bay, I highly recommend a visit (even if you’re not into fishing!) It has a relaxing vibe in a beautiful natural setting, with rugged coastlines, rolling sand dunes and bushy scrub.

I met Anni with her dazzling bridesmaids at Hair Raz’n Salon where they relaxed with coffee as they were pampered with fancy bohemian hair and natural makeup. Just next door Bay Funktion put the final touches on their native floral bouquets and arrangements. While down the road the gorgeous set up at Mocean was nearly completed.

I snuck away from the girls for a while to check in on Mark and the guys as they got ready during the morning. Just like the girls they were relaxed and in the best mood, who wouldn’t be on the wedding day of such an awesome couple? Their views over the Bay were the awesome backdrop as they transformed into dapper gents.

The wedding ceremony looking over the Bay on the Eyre Avenue Lawn was beautifully styled and full of smiles. After which we headed onto the bridal party’s travel bus! Complete with champagne, bear and snacks. We drove to Smooth Pool for photos amongst all the gorgeous rocks, crashing waves and beach scrub. (Where I hiked up my pants and carefully shuffled with my cameras through water and rocks to get my shots!) On our way back into Streaky we stopped at the Yonerbie Sandhills, and oh man! This has to be one of my favourite locations. Rolling dunes stretching as far as the eye can see with wind causing waves and ripples as it rolls over the hills. (I had to take my partner here the next day for a beer and more exploring!)

Mocean put on a fabulously relaxed and delicious canapés style reception, as guests were greeted by dolphins in the bay while the yellow sun started dipping down. Of course, we took advantage of this beautiful light and hung out with the local seal that likes to chill under the jetty.
