Jake & Jess' Winter Wedding at Barn1890, McLaren Vale

We have had a very sunny Winter this year! And I really felt like Jake & Jess' wedding day was a great summary of this years Winter weather. From overcast skies to brilliant bursts of warm sunshine. Home-baked pies instead of cake, an amazing bride who did so many of the personal touches (including all the pies and florals!) herself, and an adoring and fun loving groom. Jake & Jess' was just a little bit amazing, and the best way to get another busy wedding season rolling.

I started with bride preparation photos at a gorgeous farm B&B overlooking rolling hills. The view was TOTALLY worth the scary off road drive to get there (go Fiat!) Jess and all her bridesmaid were completely relaxed, and I was greeted by beautiful florals and hair pieces that Jess had put together herself. She also put together all of the floral arrangements at Barn1890, as well as baking an entire table full of pies for dessert in place of cake. Yum! Despite all this amazing DIY work, Jess still had an air of calm and joy that was infectious.

Their perfectly short and sweet ceremony followed an intimate bride reveal. Then some very fun bridal party portraits and informative instruction on how to eat arancini balls covered in parmesan. Haha! Barn1890 always looks great at reception venues, perfectly complimented by Jess' native floral arrangements. In the word of the day, the whole event was stunning.
