Paul & Rosa's Adventurous Onkaparinga Engagement Portraits
When Rosa, Paul & I started this little hike - we weren’t planning to do the full thing. I thought I’d take them through the beautiful scrub, past the echidnas home to the look out. And then, depending on how we felt - down to the gorge to see the river, but with every intention of heading back up the way we had come.
Thing is, a session with me is never just a photography session. If there is even the slightest chance that we might be able to have an adventure as well, I won’t help but be able to encourage it. This hike is one of my absolute favourites! And most definitely not for the faint of heart, after a good amount of rain it is even dangerous. When we did it, the river and weather was on our side - but it still involved a tinsy bit of rock climbing, bravery, the steepest of hills, loose rocks and quite simply… stunningly wild scenery!
The fact that Rosa chose to do this hike even though she wore only high heels completely blew my mind! (You utter legend). Of course, they had to come off for most of the hike, though luckily a barefoot hike by the river is actually quite pleasant. Thank you so much for going on this adventure with me guys!
For anyone wanting to come on an adventure with me (or go on your own), please don’t hesitate to get in touch. (Though keep in mind it requires some down to earth grit).
