I love how Lisa & Bow described their small Adelaide Registry Office wedding; as “ a starting point for the beginning of the next chapter of our lives as a family”. Being 34 weeks pregnant, and after many years together, it just felt like the right time for them to marry in their own small, intimate and relaxed way.
Read MoreCameron & Caroline married in a very intimate, secret (& surprise!) wedding at the Adelaide Registry Office on Grenfell St. Nothing fancy, just love all around. It was one of those mostly sunny Adelaide Winter days, and despite some showers we were able to play with a bit of light on the streets of Adelaide. Which made me one very happy photographer, especially with two such lovely people and their beautiful love to celebrate.
Read MoreThis was one of those beautiful little elopements where everything felt as though it came together perfectly. And proof that despite the weather, your day can still be every beautiful thing it needs to be. Liz and Dean eloped at the gorgeous Bonney Berg Bed and Breakfast in the Adelaide Hills at Cromer, near Birdwood. Their beautiful host Bron made sure everything ran perfectly, witnessing their wedding, providing delicious meals and such a beautifully welcoming environment with access to their stunning property and grounds. She also let us borrow her floral arrangements to create a lovely, loose and rustic bouquet. I still cannot believe that the flower is a cabbage! How very cool.
Read MoreMegan & Andrew's elopement on Friday was a beautiful and special day. We were a little worried about the weather, keeping a back up plan ready to go just in case. But in the end, the weather was incredibly beautiful. The big Morton Bay Fig trees held special meaning for Megan & Andrew, and also provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding. I love how their huge branches and roots enveloped the ceremony in a sweeping embrace. It did rain, but it was also sunny. This is a magical combination. Guests and family cuddled together under umbrellas as a light shower sprinkled down during the reception, the droplets glowing in the sun.
Read MoreThink a wedding can't be planned in 3 weeks? Think again! :) After many years together, Nicolette and Daniel decided it was time to tie the knot, and they didn't want to wait to do it. With life happening all around them, Nicolette completing her Phd, and a move to Singapore imminent, they made time to commit to a life spent together, and a cherished little elopement in the Adelaide Veale Gardens.
Read MoreThis was a special elopement for sister business Our Wild Love Elopements. It reflected everything we want our elopements to be; relaxed, intimate and all about the love. Charlotte and Edward couldn't wait to be married, and so with just over one month, and with the help of friends and family they put together the most perfect little elopement. The arbour, table settings, flowers and Heidelberg cake all looked both beautiful and delicious!
Read MoreLauren & Brent's wedding on Friday was the definition of what an elopement should be. Beautifully small, intimate, full of emotion and in a stunning location close to their hearts. Mylor has beautiful rolling hills, lovely views overlooking Mount Lofty and a rustic conservation park. It even has it’s own Thai Buddhist forest Monastery! (Not many Adelaide suburbs can boast that). Better still though, it was right in the backyard of where Brent had spent his childhood growing up. Pair that with the fact that he is a park ranger, and that they both enjoy regular, adventurous walks through National parks and reserves, and this was without a doubt the perfect spot for their elopement.
Read MoreWhat a gorgeous thing an elopement is! A small and perfectly intimate wedding ceremony that allows your to marry the love of your life with only your closest family and/or friends by your side. Ellen & Dylan pulled off the perfect elopement, and with a backyard party to follow the next day, they did not miss out on a thing!
Read MoreWhat a beautiful day this was! A wedding ceremony so intimate that the only witnesses were myself and the celebrants husband, just the right amount required to legally marry. <3 It was a very special day to be a part of, and in my mind the perfect South Australian Country elopement. Rachel & Leigh kept things simple, but perfectly sweet. With lovely coloured ribbons hanging from a tree making the backdrop for the ceremony. A beautifully bright bouquet, stunning boutique wedding dress and the Australian countryside complimenting the rustic setting of the Battunga Bed & Breakfast.
Read MoreOne word popped to mind first when it came for me to describe Jas & Matthew, and that is awesome. They are both so laid back, adventurous, kind and loving. From each meeting with them leading up to their wedding to the day itself, every moment spent in their company was a joy. The emotion and energy as they got ready for their special wedding day, through to the moment just before they saw each other was truly palpable. As much as I love weddings, connections and love I think I hold myself together pretty well at wedding ceremonies. But these guys nearly had me in tears.
