Maddie & Harry's Stormy Mt Lofty Wedding

What a day Friday was! Leading up to the day I have to admit, I was a little bit anxious about the flood warnings, wind warnings, storm warnings and hail warnings for Friday. As always, I ventured to the venue a few days before the wedding to hunt out some snug and warm little hideaways that would be dry and beautiful inside the gorgeous Mount Lofty House. When the day arrived, it was wet and cold, but it wasn't the monster of a day forecasts had made it out to be. In fact, it ended up being quite perfect.

I met Harry & Madellene at Mount Lofty house, where they got ready for the day in rooms side by side, but out of view. There was a buzz of excitement, and as they got ready for the day the excitement continued to grow with the fog on the grounds beginning to clear, we even got a little glimpse of blue sky! Maddie & Harry both looked stunning, and I hope it's ok to say especially Maddie, with her perfect little baby bump carrying a new little family member.

They married in a cute little Church in Stirling, the Our Lady of Rosary Catholic Church. A quaint stone building that housed the intimate gathering of closest family and friends perfectly. The gentle sound of heavy rain added a calming ambience as the ceremony concluded. And the group of us waited patiently, watching the radar we knew the rain was almost passed us. When it stopped and we ventured outside, we were greeted not by overcast skies but by sun! This sun provided a soft glow, frequently popping out from behind clouds the rest of the afternoon for our portraits, right up until it dipped down for the night.

Thank you Maddie & Harry for braving the chilly 4.5 degrees with me to create some beautiful portraits, and a big congratulations to the two of you! You're both beautiful inside and out. xx
